History
Fred was a Patent Attorney at Frost & Jacobs (now Frost Brown Todd LLC) before splitting off to form his own firm, Davidson & Gribbell. Later, he worked as a solo practitioner for many years, and now is partnered with his son, Russell, in the Gribbell Law Firm. Fred has a degree in electrical engineering, and worked as a design engineer before becoming an attorney. He has 30 years of experience in the field of intellectual property.
Russell became a Patent Agent during law school, and upon passing the Ohio bar became a Patent Attorney. He started with the firm in 2017 as a patent intern, and is now a member. Russell has a degree in computer information systems, and he worked at various companies in Cincinnati and New Jersey before becoming an attorney.

Russell’s practice focuses on patent and trademark prosecution. Russell worked as an Information Technology professional for several years prior to his law career. He provided solutions for large and small companies, such as Sonoco Products, Co., CAI Insurance Agency, Inc., St. Elizabeth Hospital, and Gilkey Window Company.

MEMBER
William (Bill) E. Crouse, Esq.
Bill helps acquire and defend intellectual property assets. He prepares and prosecutes patent applications for a wide variety of domestic and international clients before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. While practicing generally in the mechanical arts, Bill draws on his prior experience as a Chief Engineer. He is well versed in internal combustion engines, steam engines and systems, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, refrigeration systems, and electrical systems. Bill also has engineering and technical experience in technologies including medical devices, locking systems, tools, and industrial vehicles.
In addition, Bill provides expertise in a broad range of admiralty and maritime matters. He is a licensed Chief Engineer and Riverboat Captain with over 25 years of experience in the maritime industry. His first-hand experience in the maritime industry gives him invaluable insight into his maritime client’s needs. Before becoming an attorney, he was a Port Engineer for a riverboat company.
